Slow-Cooker Pot Roast Recipe

Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 2 1/2 pound boneless beef chuck roast
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 package dry beef gravy mix
- 1 package ranch dressing mix
- 1 package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
- ½ cup water or as needed
- 5 whole peeled carrots optional
Instructions
- Grease the slow cooker with cooking spray. Spread the onion slices in the bottom.
- Pat the roast dry and season with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour on all sides.
- Put the roast in the slow cooker on top of the onions.
- Whisk together the gravy mix, ranch dressing mix, Italian dressing mix, and water in a bowl. Pour over the roast.
- Add the carrots (if using).
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the roast is tender and the gravy has thickened.
