SPAGHETTI

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 diced onion

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 15 oz tomato sauce

  • 1 tbsp chili powder

  • 1 tbsp salt

  • 1/2 tbsp pepper

  • 1/2 tbsp chili flakes

  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tbsp oregano

  • 1/2 tbsp basil

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 16 oz package spaghetti

  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

Method

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened and translucent.

Add the garlic and ground beef. Cook for another 5 to 10 minutes, breaking the beef apart as it browns, until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease if needed.

Pour in the tomato sauce, then add the chili powder, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, oregano, basil, and bay leaves. Stir everything together, reduce the heat to low, and let the sauce simmer while the pasta cooks.

Bring a large pot of generously salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package directions until it reaches your preferred level of doneness.

Drain the pasta, remove the bay leaves from the sauce, and add the spaghetti directly to the skillet. Toss until the noodles are evenly coated, then taste and adjust the seasoning before serving.
