Ingredients
- 4 Fish Filets
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 2 tbsp Yellow Mustard
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Creole Seasoning
- 1/2 cup Hot Sauce
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Chili Powder
Instructions
- Combine Yellow Mustard, Eggs, Creole Seasoning, Hot Sauce, Paprika, Black Pepper, Salt, and Chili Powder in a large bowl.
- Add fish filets then cover and let marinate in the fridge for 15 minutes.
- In a large pot, heat vegetable oil on the stove to 350 degrees.
- Combine Flour and Cornmeal in a separate bowl.
- After the fish has marinated, add a filet one at a time to the bowl of dry ingredients to cover the filet in the flour and cornmeal. Set completed filets aside.
- Carefully add the filets to the oil and cook until the internal temperature of the fish hits 145 degrees (about 5 minutes.)
- Remove the cooked filets from the oil and let sit for 2 minutes before eating.
